The film was also selected at the Festival de cinéma des trois Amériques, the Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal, and the Montreal World Film Festival.

His second film, Les inséparables (52 min.), produced by the NFB, also gained attention in several festivals around the world. At the Festival des films du monde d'Amsterdam, the film ranked among the top ten in the People's Choice of all the 200 films presented. In 2013, Les inséparables was nominated for a Gemini award in the social documentary category. Due to the success of this film, Daniel was recognized with the Artist of the Year Award in Media Arts at the Éloizes Awards in 2014.
Awarded the Prix de La vague Léonard Forest, Les artisans de l'atelier is Daniel Léger's third film produced by the NFB.
The film follows 15 craftspeople with intellectual disabilities at the L'Artisan workshop. A true tribute to diversity, Les artisans de l'atelier offers a look into the daily life of this establishment with workers who are as hard-working as they are colourful.
